Margaret Chadwick - Oxford Petroleum Research
Margaret Chadwick spent the first part of her career in the Corporate Planning department of BP where she worked on refinery economics and investment analysis. In 1986, with David Long, she founded Oxford Petroleum Research Associates. She co-edits the monthly Argus Fundamentals, and writes regularly for other Argus Media publications and the Centre for Global Energy Studies.
Sean Corrigan - Diapason Commodities Management
Having studied science and engineering at Cambridge Sean Corrigan began a 20-year career in financial markets as a fixed-income trader, working mainly in a proprietary function at various City institutions. In the 1990s he became chief strategist for the major markets division of a well-known third-party research provider, before forming Capital Insight in late 1999. He joined Diapason Commodities Management as Chief Investment Strategist early in 2006.
Leo Drollas - Global Energy Studies
Dr Leo Drollas, Deputy Executive Director & Chief Economist, heads the CGES’ oil and gas market analysis and forecasting. Specialist on strategic hedging. Former head of energy studies and econometric analysis at BP. Dr Drollas has a PhD in economics from the London School of Economics.
Tim Guinness - Guinness Atkinson
Tim Guinness is Executive Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Guinness Asset Management Ltd, the investment sub-manager of the $1.5bn, offshore, Investec GSF Global Energy Fund. Tim has one of the most distinguished careers in asset management, spanning in excess of 30 years. By the end of 2001, the Fund was the best-performing offshore Energy Sector fund in the world and remains the top performer producing an annualised return of 26.07%.
Eduardo Lopez - International Energy Agency
Eduardo Lopez is a senior analyst in charge of global oil product demand at the Paris-based International Energy Agency. With over ten years of experience in the oil industry, he has worked for six years as a Latin American country risk analyst and oil & gas consultant within a leading energy consultancy, PFC Energy, in both the US and France.
Julian McCree - Erste Bank
Julian McCree, a graduate in Business Finance, has been a proprietary trader for over 15 years trading in interest rate, foreign exchange and commodity markets. He has spent time working for HSBC, Fuji, Citibank and a private commodity trading company, Manro Haydan, before taking up the position of Senior Proprietary Trader at Erste Bank in London where he has worked for the last three years.
Jonathan Redfern - University of Manchester
Dr Jonathan Redfern is a petroleum geologist with 21 years experience. He started his career within the oil industry, working as a geologist in the UK, North Africa and S.E Asia. For 7 years he was based overseas, his last posting as Chief Geologist for Amerada Hess in Indonesia. He is currently Director of Petroleum Studies at the University of Manchester, running the Petroleum Geoscience MSc and a large research group, and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Petroleum Geology.
Lars Steffensen - Ebullio Capital Management
Lars Steffensen is the Managing Director of the Commodity Trading Group at Ebullio Capital Management and is in charge of the team managing The Commodity Fund. Lars Steffensen has 21 years of experience in the commodity industry including time with Next Energy Inc. in Newport Beach, CA where he built on his remarkable track record of impressive returns in commodity trading and rose to Senior Partner in charge of commodities.
